Mariela

I have been working with Mariela every Saturday morning for nearly a year. It's something I truly look forward to. I started as a struggling advanced beginner/intermediate-level Spanish speaker and she helped me to massively grow my abilities-- building the confidence to converse with native speakers at my job and on vacations. We work together by engaging in conversations, reading/discussing interesting articles about current events, and doing grammar exercises when I need the extra practice. She is warm, patient, and super motivated to see me progress. I feel really lucky to have found her.

I highly recommend Mariela! Mariela is very engaging, patient, and provides very clear instruction. Mariela's classes are fun and interesting - she guides with casual conversation, games, and activities and does a great job balancing when to instruct and when to listen. With each class, Mariela provides structure and pushes me to focus on new aspect of the language. Mariela is encouraging and flexible to match my learning preferences. I have been taking lessons with Mariela for a couple months now and already feel my progress!

Las clases con Mariela son de gran ayuda y muy amenas. Explica y desarrolla sus ideas de forma clara, lo que facilita mucho el aprendizaje. Además, siempre motiva con preguntas sobre temas interesantes, lo cual me impulsa a pensar y a utilizar todos mis recursos lingüísticos.
