Wendy has been an incredible teacher and a true asset to me in my Chinese learning journey. She always goes the extra mile to ensure that I understand every grammar point that we cover and is always able to explain the subtle differences in usage of words with a similar meaning. Wendy is encouraging and is always able to inspire confidence. I'm grateful to have her help and kindness and have been steadily improving in my language abilities since taking classes with her. Learning a ton of new vocab and ways to phrase things in Mandarin that would be really difficult to look up myself. Especially some Taiwan-specific terms that differ from those in China. Wendy's also a great person to talk with about life/culture in Taiwan if you're interested in that.

As a beginner in Mandarin, I took a dozen or so lessons with Wendy to prepare for a trip to China and had a great experience! Wendy taught me a bunch of useful concepts for my trip--basic greetings, how to order food & drinks, how to tell time, talk about hobbies, etc. She prepared study materials, notes, and vocabulary that I found very useful. In class, she's very patient and thorough, ensuring you learn the right pronunciation and sentence structure. In China I felt very prepared and implemented her teachings with success! I highly recommend her and will happily sign up with her again in the future!
