Hi, my name is 王培玟, my English name is Beryl. I'm from Taiwan. You can call me Beryl or 王老師. I've been teaching English on and off for 9 years, and Chinese for 5 years now and still counting. My mother tongue is Chinese; I love to share the culture differences in the lessons, also enjoy in helping my students to achieve their goals. Always a nice session with Beryl. I still have much to learn and improve upon, but I never feel scrutinized or dumb when I'm in class with her. She helps facilitate easygoing conversations with useful everyday phrases in an natural manner. I look forward to attending another class with her.

Due to an unexpected hiatus, six months have passed since my last lesson with 王老師。I was nervous about class today because of the long gap, but Beryl was as encouraging, kind, and patient as ever. It felt like two friends catching up and talking about life. She has a warm personality with a good sense of humor, which I've missed since fall. I know there's a lot of grammar points and vocabulary I have forgotten since our last lesson, and that learning a language in general is a marathon (not a sprint), but I'm confident that Beryl will provide the support and guidance needed to help me restart my language learning journey and go further than before. Always grateful to Beryl! 謝謝老師！

Yet another enjoyable and insightful lesson with Beryl. She always makes you feel comfortable and at ease when speaking and she teaches you so many new words / ways of saying things that have helped me improve my grasp of the language (we discuss everything from politics to star signs to menus in restaurants!). On top of all this, we also work on writing which, as a result, has really helped my confidence in the language grow. Thank you Beryl! Until next class!
