I have a very wide variety of interests but am particularly passionate about the arts and music, current affairs and politics. I am fascinated by language and communication and love finding out about the origin of words and the subtleties of pronunciation and intonation. I love to travel and have visited much of Europe, Scandinavia, North America, India and China and I worked for a short time in East Africa. As a professional educator I have experience across a broad age range, having taught in UK Primary Key Stage 2 (Ages 7-11), multi-national teenagers at EFL Summer schools and both children and adults online. Many of my adult students were engaged in preparation for study abroad at Masters or Doctoral level. I have a relaxed and friendly teaching style, experienced with both adults and children. I use a variety of materials and tailor my lessons to the specific needs and requirements of each student.
