Spanish teacher specialized in teaching Spanish as a first and as a second language. My name is Denise, I am 25 years old and I am from Montevideo, Uruguay. I am passionate about languages. Besides Spanish, I speak English. Currently, I am learning Uruguayan Sign Language (LSU) and Mandarin Chinese. I am a Spanish teacher graduated from the Instituto de Profesores ''Artigas'', in Montevideo. In 2021 I took a course to teach Spanish as a second language in an institution accredited by the Cervantes Institute. Since that same year, I started working in italki. In 2022 I started teaching Spanish to native speakers in public and private institutions in my country. I am interested in the learning process of my students and I look for different ways to help them improve. I plan my classes with specific objectives and I use different resources to make them dynamic and entertaining. From my perspective, the language teacher is much more than a language teacher: he/she is also a teacher of culture, history, and the many other elements that are involved in a language. In my lessons I use mostly audiovisual resources, such as presentations, videos, audios, etc. I am mainly based on the communicative method: I think that the best way to learn a second language is to use it a lot and in different contexts.
