I'm Daria and I am a polyglot. I teach Romanian, Russian, English and Italian on italki. I studied Philosophy, International, and Economic Studies at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. 🎓 I grew up in the Republic of Moldova in a bilingual enviornment, speaking Romanian and Russian. I wrote my dissertation on medical ethics. I worked on academic, business, and cultural projects, providing both translation and consecutive interpretation for international NGOs and other organizations. I love travelling and I visited 14 countries in Europe and America. 🌍 Besides my expertise in philosophy and passion for languages I am an artist and I dedicate my time to painting. 🎨Me as a Teacher
🏆 I create a supportive and engaging learning environment through my patience so that each student feels welcomed. My experience as a multilingual translator and interpreter has given me deep insight into the challenges of cross-cultural and cross-language communication, which I apply in practice, teaching students of any age and level.
🔎 I am detail-oriented and explain the reasoning behind every correction.
💬 I am flexible and ready to improvise to match the student's pace and mood in class. Don't worry about being spontaneous and asking questions during the class - we can switch between topics. My lessons & teaching style

a) Natural, spontaneous conversation;
b) On a specific topic.
While we speak I correct you and suggest better ways to express your thoughts in a soubtle and supportive way.
✔️ Business & academic - We focus on formal language, including interview and presentation preparation, reviw of CV and letters of intetion.
✔️ Grammar / reading / writing / language essentials - A structured and systematic approach to the language. We start with rules and theory after which we put in practice the new knowledge. Doing homework will benefit you in these classes.My teaching material

Another great lesson with Dasha! I really enjoy how clear her presentations and explanations are as well as the fact that, at no point do I feel overwhelmed or bored. A grammar point is introduced, examples provided and I am then tasked with providing more examples to ensure I have understood the point. It's simple and effective and I appreciate this immensely.
