Yan is an AMAZING instructor! She is very knowledgeable about the language. I’m trying to improve my speaking skills in Cebuano since I can understand it but not speak very well. She was very flexible and adapted to my level, which has been very difficult for other instructors to do in my experience so far. We did some conversation practice, and she wasn’t afraid to correct me when I was wrong. She guided the conversation with intention, and also had teaching materials to practice specific grammar concepts.
