Sergio

I have been having lessons with Sergio for almost 2 years now, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is one of the most friendly, and fun teachers there is and has become a great friend. From our first lesson, Sergio gave me confidence and made me feel very comfortable in what can be a very nerve wracking experience. He provides space to make errors without fear, and gently corrects them without ever making you feel silly or wrong. If you're looking for someone to help you with your Spanish, who is kind, confident and SUPER interesting then Sergio may be just who you are looking for. He has been an absolute asset in my journey with Español.

Sergio, thank you for a lovely first lesson together that exceeded my already high expectations! I'm really looking forward to more. Even though I'm a beginner, you gently pushed me out of my comfort zone and put my Spanish speaking and listening skills to the test right off the bat. I could definitely feel my brain working in overdrive and making new synapses on the spot. We somehow managed to conduct the majority of the lesson in Spanish, which was a very welcome surprise and a really rewarding feeling. Our conversation on daily life and future plans allowed me to acquire a lot of useful vocabulary straight away, and our chat about hobbies and passions was really fun - we even established common interests which we can explore in the future! Lastly, thank you very much for the warm, kind, and positive energy that you brought to the lesson. It made me feel safe to try things out, make mistakes, and learn.

You will not regret booking a lesson with Sergio. I continue to learn more with him than I ever did even with just lessons once a week than I did in 6 years of Spanish classes, and unlike school I actually look forward to learning from him every week. Sergio is a great teacher because he himself is a student of language and he shares the same enthusiasm for discussing and learning languages that all of us on Italki have. He deserves all the praise he gets. Honestly, if reviews like this make his schedule busier, I would not even be the slightest bit upset because he definitely deserves all the success he has earned.

Sergio has been my Spanish tutor for the last 3 years and is by far the best tutor I’ve ever had! He’s very easy to talk to and understands the process of learning new languages. Above all he’s an awesome person!

Sergio is so great. He does a tremendous job of providing spoken and typed assistance without interrupting the flow of conversation. He has a great balance between listening and assisting. I feel that he adapts to my speed in real-time. Over the months it has been great to chat with him about whatever we want. I have found every encounter very helpful and am looking forward to the next one.
