I hope my 29 other tutors won’t see this, but Santiago Herrera es alguien súper especial! 🌟 The entire time he was screensharing a document where he corrected all my errors. Literally all of them! I’ve never been corrected so many times in a single hour in my entire life! And yet, we still managed to have a deep, personal conversation that was valuable for more than just learning Spanish. I can’t wait to talk to Santiago next month after I get through the remaining 16 tutors I’m signed up with, sigh… Le doy mil estrellas! 🤩

Santiago is very attentive, genuine, and patient when he teaches, also being strict now and then, which I have found so helpful in my learning. He is very flexible and fun in his teaching methods and the topics we discuss applies to real life, so it isn't as rigid as solely following a textbook. I highly recommend him to anyone of any age looking to learn Spanish, regardless of level! His English is fluent so it helps when I can't fully understand something in Spanish. I have taken classes for around 3 months with him and I can read and comprehend in Spanish quite well as someone of a beginner-inter level. I would be nowhere without him as my teacher! :)

Super awesome session in Santiago's Classroom ! I just started my off duo lingo- real Spanish learning journey, and I appreciate Santiago because I've improved my Spanish an immense amount ! Duo lingo gives you vocab and mental practice but with Santiago you get a real life setting environment to test your on the spot thinking and speaking. We got to beginner's foundation right away. Laying groundwork on this stuff is challenging, and I highly recommend a lesson with Santiago if you are up for the benefits of a 1 on 1 lesson in Spanish with surgical precision with an amazing expert.

I still remember the first day of my Spanish class with Santiago; I only knew a couple of words in Spanish such as Hola, Gracias, and 'Café con leche y croissan, por favor'. His passion toward teaching has walked me through the steps to practice speaking Spanish. His patience and quick wit make me feel comfortable even when I make some mistakes. Besides his affability and encouragement, I appreciate him being attentive in every single class with meticulous attention to my mistakes. For me, the best part of his class is that he does not give me a right answer immediately, but nudges me to guess the correct one so that I can feel like ‘I Accomplished Something Great!’ I want to express my sincere gratitude to you, Santiago and I am psyched for the next class! ¡Hasta pronto!

Best class I've taken on italki so far. Incredibly knowledgeable teacher. I wanted someone that would really help me with my grammar and I got it in this class. Great experience.
