Learn Czech with professional tutors

Celebrating 2 years on Italki as a community tutor...thanks to all my students! 8) I used to teach English mainly to children (I do not teach children online), now thanks to italki I can also teach teenagers and adults which makes it more interesting and rewarding for me. Once upon a time I was also learning English so I understand the challenges of the learning process my students are going through. I am now trying to learn Spanish (a complete beginner again lol) and so I am going through the language learning process, just like my students, sharing all the joys and the frustrations which come from language studies. I am a very patient teacher. I know what it takes to learn a new language. I will always do my best to find a way of teaching that suits you and to explain the Czech language rules clearly. We will practice conversation so you can feel more confident but also have to dive into Czech grammar, which is quite complex, but a necessary part of the language. I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes, that's how you improve. Remember that language is a marathon, not a sprint. :) Motivation is something that helps you to get started, but consistency is the key.

If there's someone that can understand how it feels to learn a new language it's me because I'm currently learning a third language so I know what the student wants to experience in a class. I've always been interested in getting to know Czech in a deeper level so I understand how hard the language is and how to help you learn it in the best way possible. :) For me it's important to make you feel comfortable and not worry about making mistakes while still having fun in the lessons, and since I'm working with kids I understand how to explain the language from the very beginning.

I have lots of experience working with children (ages babies - 12 years old). First of all from my time in London where I worked as a nanny and then in Mexico where I was teaching English to children from the age of 4 until 12. However I also taught adult classes. Having learnt English myself I know how very important it is to be an active student with loads of speaking and pronunciation practice. That is my main focus in my lessons. I am patient, friendly and chatty and I like to make my lessons fun and engaging.

I′m a very patient and friendly tutor. I learn languages by myself as well so I know how it can be very difficult to stay still motivated. Very important for me is to make my lessons useful and enjoyable for all of my students. I always try to create exactly such an environment based on the needs of my students.
