Friendly and Experienced French Mothertongue Teacher From my experience, I have realized that most of my students who struggle with learning languages do so because of bad memories from school that led to low self-confidence. Plus, their fear of making mistakes adds up tension and impedes them from enjoying the whole process. That’s why my main priority, as a teacher, is to teach students the right approach to speaking without fear of making mistakes, and if the fear does arise, how to welcome it and relax into it.

Learning to Speak, Speaking to Learn Most students I work with don’t just want to learn about French: they want to be able to speak it clearly and comfortably. In my view, speaking is not something that improves by chance. It needs to be built carefully, with attention to how sentences are formed, how sounds are produced, and how ideas are expressed. That’s why in my lessons, we focus on developing speech that is not only correct, but also clear, structured, and natural. This includes pronunciation, grammar, and expression... not as separate elements, but as parts of a coherent whole.

As a teacher, I try to have as kind of an attitude as possible to make you feel comfortable. I believe there is no shame in making mistakes, searching for words, or forgetting something that we have learned. Honesty regarding your goals is one of the key to success without frustration, because learning and speaking a new language takes time.
