Certified DITALS teacher with a passion for Opera and airplanes! In 2002 I started teaching Italian to A1-A2 levels at the Language Centre of Queen Mary University of London until I started working as an aeronautical engineer for a few years. In 2008 I left my job in engineering to focus on teaching privately to individuals and groups. I taught Opera professionals during the years I lived in NYC. I gained a certification at City Lit in London and the DITALS Certification, a cultural title recognised worldwide, awarded by the “Università per Stranieri di Siena”. This certification is aimed at teaching, but not limited to, Opera professionals and Opera enthusiasts, since it focuses on the arcaic form of Italian used in Opera.

Siccome io per prima, ho imparato le lingue viaggiando e mettendole in pratica, prima ancora di conoscerne la grammatica, trovo che sia il modo migliore e più rapido per iniziare a parlare una lingua straniera. Sia lo spagnolo che il francese sono riuscita ad impararli da sola in meno di un anno, per cui credo di aver trovato una buona tecnica che mi piacerebbe condividere con altre persone!
