Speak Persian and Sorani Kurdish with Confidence | Friendly, Personalized Lessons Hi! I’m Parya 🌿 I’m a native Persian speaker and grew up speaking both Persian and Kurdish. My multilingual background has given me a deep appreciation for languages, cultures, and the different ways people express themselves. I’m also a literature graduate, so Persian literature and the richness of the Persian language are an important part of what I bring to my lessons. I love helping students understand not only what Persian means, but how native speakers actually use it — including everyday expressions, cultural nuances, and natural ways of speaking. My lessons are especially suitable for beginners, travellers, heritage learners, and anyone who wants to improve their conversational Persian. Whether you’re learning Persian for family, travel, culture, or simply because you love languages, I’ll adapt our lessons to your level and goals. My classes are friendly, practical, and conversation-focused. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to speak, make mistakes, ask questions, and build confidence — without fear of getting everything perfect. 🌱

Patient and Friendly! I have been teaching since 2020, offering both online and in-person lessons. With a tailored and effective approach, I have successfully guided students many of whom started with zero knowledge of Kurdish to reach a conversational level after only a few lessons. Teaching has always been a great passion of mine, and I began my teaching journey at the age of 18. My experience spans both group and private classes, delivered in various settings, whether in person or online.

After a long time I am back to Italki. A polyglot has extensive experience in teaching languages. My name is Brusk. I'm a native Kurdish speaker, a Norwegian citizen, and I currently live in Sweden. As a polyglot who speaks around nine languages, I understand both the challenges and rewards of learning a new language. I teach Kurdish (Kurdî) and Norwegian at all levels, from A1 (Beginner) to C2 (Proficiency), and have extensive experience teaching both languages as foreign languages. My lessons focus on speaking, reading, listening, and vocabulary building. Grammar is included when needed, but I believe it is most effective to learn grammar through the language rather than trying to learn the language through grammar. Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner, I will adapt the lessons to your needs and help you reach your language goals.

Roj baş! My name is Hanna, and I am a passionate Kurmanji teacher who truly loves what I do. I grew up in a Kurdish-speaking family and have been fascinated by languages and the cultures of different peoples since childhood. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their stories — it inspires me and makes every lesson unique. I am also interested in reading, traveling, psychology, and the traditions of different countries. These interests help me understand my students better and find an individual approach to each person, making the learning process more effective and personalized. For me, learning a language is not only about mastering grammar, but also about gaining a deeper understanding of a people’s culture, traditions, and worldview. If you want not only to learn Kurmanji but also to truly experience its atmosphere and soul, I would be happy to take this journey with you!

Learn and speak Turkish or Kurdish in a fun way with the most effective methods. >> Hello /Silav /Merhaba. I'm Murat and I'm here to teach you my native languages, Turkish and (Kurmanji) Kurdish. I’m living in Ankara-TURKEY. I've taught people of all levels and ages over the years and I am very experienced with teenagers and adults. My first priority in teaching is always to improve a student's conversational skills. Being able to speak, improves motivation and vocabulary, makes it easier to learn grammar. While giving lessons to students, I teach idioms and proverbs to help them express themselves better, give clues about the culture and tradition of the language I teach (Turkish or Kurdish) . In addition, I must say that I can speak English fluently.

Language teacher with seven years of experience teaching students from all over the world! I taught geography for eight years, and recieved my geography degree from Ankara Public University. I have also been teaching language for seven years. Because of this, I have lots of experience as a teacher, and know how to understand and adapt to your needs as a student. For our learning journey, I will help you by using flashcards, slides, listening exercises, and will create a personal document just for you to help you learn the language! It is important that you know the most common words first because you will use these 80% of the time, so I prepared a list of the most common verbs in Turkish and Kurdish. Hannah is the best teacher I've had on italki. When I started with her I could barely form sentences but now I'm speaking much more fleuntly. Sometimes I get too busy for language classes, but whenever I have a chance to return to practicing languages, I always come back to her because I know I'll make progress.

Exceptionally good lesson. Delal used expressions from the article we were discussing, for me to use them in sentences. As I would not normally speak the way she first suggested , together we adapted the material for sentences I would use in conversation. I appreciated her flexibility. And noticed a lot of mistakes I was making! Very useful lesson. And interesting subject matter. Delal doesn’t give me lesson plans, as she lets me decide what I want to talk about and uses the material I choose and (some of!) the mistakes I make as teaching material. Though this time she gave me some homework: to learn to conjugate a verb I kept getting wrong within the lesson!

Kawroj is a great teacher; she seeks out material and plans learning around exactly what I need to study. She is calm and patient with me in lessons and really good at giving real-world examples of how the language is spoken, particularly variations between dialects. Will definitely continue our regular lessons, thanks!

As you can see, I have done almost 50 lessons with Mahdi to get myself to a basic conversational level of Kurdish before my trip to Erbil. He is by far the best Sorani teacher I have had and could not recommend him more highly ; his patience, intelligence and good humour are all qualities that make him an exceptional teacher and person. I wish him all the best in his future endeavours - he will succeed in whatever he does.

Murat is one of the best teachers I have encountered on italki (or anywhere else) in any language. He has developed his own lessons (no easy task for a language where teaching resources are scarce). He tailors each of his lessons (even his existing lessons) to the individual student. He uses texts and grammar explanations and examples for part of the lesson. He also uses on-line games for building vocabulary and internalizing language syntax and grammar (again tailored to the individual student). Finally, he uses videos (about different subjects or, e.g., Charlie Chaplin silent films) to foster discussion to build conversational skills. He knows English well, which is a plus when it comes to explaining certain grammar points and vocabulary, although he conducts his lessons as much as possible in Kurdish. Murat's lessons are fun and I look forward to them. Most importantly, I am very happy with the progress I am making in the language with Murat.

I just finished my lesson number 16 with Deya. Kurdish is not an easy to learn language, at least not for me -a latin based speaker. But, I am having an awesome time together with this young, fresh but very well prepared teacher. I am touched by her commitment to the job, she takes it seriously and I admire that. She helps a lot during the lessons, she s patient, she repeats things many times until I can fix it into my memory. We share things from our countries sometimes and this helps me to have a better understanding of the Kurdish culture and life. I find that important and it gives me curiosity to know more. Deya wrote her own planning for the lessons and she can be flexible if your schedule is chaotic, which is highly appreciated. Sometimes I forget things, but Deya encourages me -she gives me hope and makes me wanna continue this awesome process . Well done, Deya ! Zor supas for your help! To mamostayeki zor bashit!

Siamak is the best language teacher from whom I have had the opportunity to learn. Prior to meeting him, he communicated regularly and with great professionalism about every small detail. He is joyful to talk with and the material that he provides before, during, and after class is extremely easy to digest, and very helpful in the learning process. He is punctual and on-time, and he sends reminders prior to the class time. Lastly, he is very generous with his time. Even though the trial lesson was only scheduled for 30 minutes, he spent an additional 15 minutes to make sure we got through the important information he wanted to cover. I highly recommend signing up for his lessons - not only will you learn a new language, you will do so with great joy and contentment. Overall, a great teacher and a great person.

Another great lesson mamosta, going at the perfect pace for me to learn Sorani Kurdish, and with some homework! As impressed as ever at the level of professionalism, linguistic knowledge and explaining of cultural factors.

Ekrem is a wonderful teacher. It is extremely difficult to find a teacher of kurmancî, and Ekrem is top of the top, crème de la crème. He is highly educated and well versed not only in language, but in culture, philosophy, film, history, and literature. He is passionate, patient, and very kind. I am thrilled to have him as my teacher.

Brusk is always prepared with a topic that is meaningful to my goals of learning Behdini Kurdish. He is making sure that I am learning the grammar and conversational Behdini as well. I am very thankful to have such a patient, thoughtful teacher.
