I am a student at University of South Africa studying Bachelor's in financial management . I am the founder of Little steps day care where i have been teaching English for more than 4 years now. I have a TEFL certificate and Delta airline customer representative certificate. I love travelling , have been to Dubai , Qatar and Botswana. Meeting new people , learning new culture and teaching is one of my favourite things to do. Teaching is my passion and i can say it is a family thing , my Dad , sister are teachers. I love helping and making a difference in people's lives through sharing the information i have and i a possible fun ways. Games, Quiz , flash cards and having past experience conversations are some of the fun way of teaching and learning. I am a great listener when my students are sharing things to me be it their goals or concerns. My lesson and teaching styles are fun as this will stimulate my student's memories and them wanting to learn more things. I like to tailor make my lessons according to the student needs and level hence use of flash cards , singing ,games , charts or specific conversations which will make them achieve their goals in learning.

Since I have been teaching for some time now, I have come to the realisation that teaching dynamics and/or styles are determined by the learner, as they have different needs and wants, so I will be teaching as per students' needs. I am a hard worker that is self driven. When I have a task at hand, I make sure I finish it on time. I am also passionate about what I do, so when I do anything, I do it wholeheartedly. I love cooking and swimming, and I am also an avid reader.

I would highly recommend booking lessons with Ivy. She is a very knowledgeable, competent, and kind teacher. I have been learning from Ivy for a few weeks now and I have truly been enjoying the classes and noticing my improvement after every lesson. She teaches in a structured way and provides ample material and notes after every class. She always makes sure I understand a concept completely before moving on to the next topic. She gives cultural and social context when needed so I can know how to vary my language skills depending on situation. She also gives homework which is very helpful for practice in between classes. I look forward to future classes.
