I obtained my CTCSOL (Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) from the Confucius Institute — it’s the only certificate that officially qualifies someone to teach Mandarin. I also hold a PSC certificate, which means I speak very standard Chinese with no regional accent. I’m a very patient teacher — that’s why I’ve been teaching Chinese for over six years and I’m still as passionate about it as ever. I treat my students as friends.
