Learning Danish is a challenge - but more interesting and fun with a good guide I taught over 6000 online lessons in Danish, one-on-one. I started teaching online 10 years ago. Before then, I was teaching English (one-on-one) in China. I passed a lot of long and short courses in teaching and studying techniques. I am supportive and patient, and very understanding, because I study a language myself :) With a well prepared student we change activity every 5 - 10 minutes. I give help with efficient studying techniques. I teach adults :)

Maybe you’re going to move to Europe and need to have the right skills to approach a new life here – I can guarantee that you will get those skills, if you choose me as your teacher. Choosing me as a teacher you will get both someone who really cares but also value for money. Children are of course always very welcome ?

Sarah Blendstrup
Native teacher since 2018 with an MA in Danish and pedagogical training from Copenhagen University I acquired my love for Danish as well as Classical languages from my paternal grandmother, who was a Danish and History teacher for many years. At some times during my university studies, I had to study Latin on my own because very few people chose that minor. I often felt stuck and thought about quitting, but I tried to find the patience and I explored different methods in order to learn. As a person, I am very patient, and it is important for me that you feel comfortable showing me your difficulties and giving your opinion.

I think the best way to learn a language is to have an interest in it and its culture. I believe that teaching should have the student in focus. I think it's important to find a way to incorporate your interests and make sure you reach your language goals. I always try my best to be patient and create a safe space in my lessons where it's always okay to make mistakes.

Henrik Høj
Bachelor & Master of Education, with 8 years experience in learning. Informal and fun is the focus! As a teacher I am a huge disciple of informal learning. I don't believe that grammar books and filling in blanks on worksheets is the way in which a language, or anything for that matter, should be learned. It is neither fun, nor in my experience particularly effective. Of course, as a beginner, some basic grammar is needed, but as soon as my students have enough vocabulary to start using the language in meaningful sentences and conversations, I seek to activate this language in my student in a fun and engaging way. Having a good time, having fun while learning, as well as keeping my teaching goal oriented towards the needs of my student is of uttermost importance.

As a teacher, I’m patient, encouraging, and flexible. I believe that language learning should be personalized — built entirely around your specific goals, needs, and learning style. My lessons can be academic and structured, focusing on grammar, writing, and accuracy, or calm and relaxed, emphasizing conversation, fluency, and real-life Danish — depending on what works best for you. Whether you’re learning Danish for travel, study, work, or personal interest, we’ll design a learning plan that fits you perfectly. Book a Trial Lesson In our trial lesson, we’ll talk about your goals, your current level, and the type of lessons that suit you best :)

Challenge yourself and improve your Danish. While I like my lessons to have a casual and relaxed atmosphere, I also like to challenge my students. I have a vast collection of teaching material, and I like to find something for each student that’s both engaging to them and which challenges them. Think of lessons with me as a gym for your Danish. You might be a exhausted at the end, but you will see results.

Vladimir Languages
Professional polyglot teacher with more than 10 years experience I really love sharing my passion for languages and I enjoy the most seeing how my students progress in their language studies. I speak slowly - as much as it can be a drawback in life, it is an asset in teaching, because this helps the student processing the language easier, at their own pace. I have formal education in all of the languages, so I know and I can help with grammar if you need. My main goal, though, is to help you improve your speaking skills. Having learned multiple languages makes it possible for me to understand the struggles in language learning and to offer clear explanations and concrete tips about different aspects of the language or the learning process itself.

Teaching 11 languages, currently learning 3 more, 20+ years of experience as a teacher When teaching I take both my schedule and my classes seriously. When a class is scheduled, it is part of my weekly plan and I get ready for it. I conduct a detailed journal of what I have been doing with my student, I write down every session, thus it is easy for me to check what we did on our previous sessions. I used to teach more conventionally, meaning with my students being in the same room as me. In 2021 I started using Skype for my classes (I now conduct my lessons on Teams) and things work out very well. I am always punctual as I respect the time my students take for our lessons, likewise I do appreciate if my students do the same.

Jakob Schildt
Native Danish teacher with 2+ years of experience I have been teaching English and Danish for 3 and 2 years respectively. I teach by seeking out the specific goals and interests of my students, so they get to talk about all the things that matter the most to them. A common dogma between language teachers is to harshly demand that only the target language be spoken, and while practice is key, my personal experience show that clarification questions in a more comfortable tongue can go a long way in terms of actual understanding of the subject.

As someone who has learned many different languages before, I know how hard it can be to learn a new foreign language, so I want you to feel comfortable during my lessons and know it's okay to ask any type of questions and make mistakes. I have a lot of experience talking with people from different cultures and backgrounds, so I would love to meet you and know more about you too! I will be patient with you so we can learn Danish together in a pace that is comfortable for you.

BA in Social Education and student adviser. I’ve lived in places like Greenland, Ghana, Lithuania, the Philippines, Germany, Ukraine, and the USA—each for months or years. These experiences taught me how people from different cultures learn differently, and I bring that insight into every lesson. And I firmly believe in the and the 7-7-7-7 rule! Hear, say, read AND write a new word 7 times, and there is a very good chance that you own it!
