I've taught children football in Cambodia, using both Japanese and English. As a teacher, I emphasize patience, and creating a fun learning environment. My native language is Japanese, but I am trained and qualified to teach in Australia and I feel more comfortable explaining Japanese in English. This approach can be especially helpful for English-speaking students. For advanced learners, I may use little to no English.
