Welsh conversation tutor, experienced teacher, YouTuber. I am a certified CELTA English teacher and Welsh for Adults tutor. I've worked as a freelance 1-1 Welsh tutor since 2015, teaching both face to face, online and in small groups. I currently work with Cymraeg i Oedolion (Welsh for Adults) in North West Wales and as a Language Development Officer with the Welsh Language Project in Patagonia, Argentina.

I taught mathematics in secondary schools for two years, and I've also given private tuition in various subjects since then. Interesting conversations at your language level. My preferred way of learning and teaching languages is through conversation, songs and games. We can talk about the cultures of different countries, current affairs or about art, music, literature, film and TV. This is a good way of getting comfortable in a language and of using words and phrases that are actually useful. We can look at a song together and think about the words. Perhaps you can learn the words of songs by heart for your homework in order to memorise useful expressions.

Oxford graduate with 5 years' tutoring experience I have significant experience in personal tutoring and working within education more generally. I have been tutoring languages for 5 years now and have also worked as a teaching assistant in Welsh-medium secondary schools. I teach *both North and South dialects*.

I completed a 120 hour TEFL course in 2020. I have also taught children from the ages of five to eighteen in Acting and English speech. I love this work as it is incredibly rewarding and allows me to help young minds develop! I ran a youth club for High School Children for a year and I love using this to help make people's day a little bit brighter! Also, I have tutored teenagers for their English GCSE exams and I am currently running a Performing Arts Club at my Church! My teaching experience has allowed me to understand the best techniques and styles. I am so grateful to my time spent as a teacher as it has given me experience and knowledge that has continued to help me.

I believe everyone is capable of learning a language, if you're willing to put in a little effort and dedication. A passion for learning, literature and culture helps too, but it's important to find out what you're interests are and what motivates you. Although everyone's different, I'm a strong advocate for language learning methods which focus on hearing the language often and learning simple useful patterns and phrases to start speaking it straight away. You can't beat a good course, but making friends in the target language can work not only as a motivation to learn, but also provide you with immersion and a safe environment to practise the language.
