    Three men in a boat Once I was told that "Three men in a boat" is an encyclopedia of English language. Can you confirm that reading this book will improve my language level? Or may be can you advise me something to read, I mean original english literature? Thank you in advance.

    I know that via Email is correct. "Per" is often used with "day" for example per day, per year.

    М. В. Л.

    Лицо свое скрывает день;
    Поля покрыла мрачна ночь;
    Взошла на горы черна тень;
    Лучи от нас склонились прочь;
    Открылась бездна звезд полна;
    Звездам числа нет, бездне дна.

    Very beautiful poem.

    Unallowable mistakes in English One of my student asked me, what mistakes are not allowed in the English language? What is getting on one's nerves to native speakers when they hear the English language for example from Russian people? I answered, rude grammar mistakes and wrong pronunciation. What can you add? May be you can remember some funny situations related on language mistakes =))
