Hello my name is Andre from Melbourne, Australia. I'm pursuing teaching as a career. English teaching to be precise (In Japan). I really like the country and would like to know more about the culture and its people. I'm more than happy to help people with their English en devours, if we can communicate well enough. to do so. If we do become friends :) I'd like to hold our future conversations over Skype because I think it is the greatest tool to learn another language over the internet. The MOST IMPORTANT thing to learn a language is NEVER EVER be afraid to make mistakes. The more mistakes you make the better you become :) Don't be shy, speak to me with confidence, I won't judge. Hopefully you are determined and enthusiastic as I am and we can get along well :) NOTE: the guy in my display photo is Onizuka-sensei fromt he Anime GTO, the coolest teacher ever!!! He is my teaching role model HAHA :)

    Extremely sad day for me :( :( :(

    Hey guys I'm just going to vent a little here because I don't really like venting on Facebook.
    So today has been an absolute horrible day for me because I left my bag in a bus.

    The bag had my wallet, a pack of cigarettes, a 3 month XBOX live membership card, and my passport. The wallet had around 350 USD in it which is really depressing :( . I was carelessly chatting on my tablet when I was getting off the bus and did not realize I left my <strike>bad</strike> bag on the seat. There was only 1 other person <strike>on</strike>  in the bus excluding the driver, and hopefully he found it and gave it to our local police station. My passport had my address<strike> on</strike> in it so hopefully he will be kind enough to bring my stuff back to me.

    I really hope that whoever finds my bag is a nice person and has a conscience. Although it was not all bad today as most of you probably <strike>already</strike> know of <strike>about</strike> Osama Bin Laden's death<strike> today</strike>. As an American this is quite a thing (lack of a better word) for me. If the higher power wanted my 350$ in exchange for Bin Laden's death I would gladly accept. I'll probably just try and think of it that way to ease this hopefully temporary depression.

    BOOOYY could I use a smoke or two right now........... *sniff sniff*

    Maybe you are just catching them at a bad time cause of the time difference, But if your friends are interested in learning Chinese then they should chat with you alot but if your friends are not learning Chinese then there is no real reason is there?

    When we talk most of the time everyone speaks in perfect grammar, I think that just comes natural like with any language. Maybe they will "break the rules" on purpose to try to be funny or in a funny situation. However in English, even though the grammar is incorrect when you write it down, sometimes it is accepted in oral English. Sorry can't give an example here.

    There are several meanings but all quite similar. It could mean "let's give up" when you have tried to do something a couple of times and failed. Or "let's go home" when you complete a job or a task. You can also use this to try and end the argument when parties involved could not reach a compromise. Basically you use this to signify an ending of an event.
