This indicates the character of modern youth, who seek to be loved rather than to become great. In this sentence which would you use, "character" or "characteristic"? Which would sounds more natural? I used "character" to show that today's youth has this character in general, but I do think it could be more natural to use "characteristic" because this characteristic is different from that of the youth of the past. What do you think?
