Human beings (like most other animals) enjoy gathering together in groups: 'birds of a feather flock together'... On the other hand, if a national identity is imposed from above, in a top-down way, by a government, or those 'in authority', this can lead to a situation of 'them' and 'us', the result of which sometimes leads to friction, fracture, conflicts and even war. You don't need to look very far back in time to see clear evidence of this kind of negative consequence - maybe even in your last news bulletin...

But without limitation, actually you can view it from your own perspective. ✍Here is my answer: Um, most of the time, it is important, especially for teenagers who are studying at school and the youngest who just step into 30, because they are the main source of the national workforce. It is very important for them to share and make contributions to their society or their country. Otherwise, due to the lack of responsibilities, people may do nothing even only know to take from governments. However, it shouldn't be forced to be done.
