Mid-autumn Festival Today, I will finish my first informal essay here. So I was just
wondering what I am going to introduce to you, when I saw the topic
(culture), then, I decided to talk about a traditional Chinese festival — Mid-autumn
festival. Before the main body, you should know the four most important festivals
in China; they are Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Qingming Festival
and Mid-autumn Festival. This festival originated from ancient Chinese
people’s agricultural production. Its original purpose is to celebrate the joy
of a good harvest. On that day, families will get together and eat moon cakes, then appreciate the beautiful sight of the full moon. Now, Mid-autumn Festival has
become a symbol of reuniting with family members, and there are various kinds of
moon cakes, though I still like the sweet bean-paste fulling one most. What kind do you
like?
