5 Amazing TV Series for L-earning English. I thought I would share some really awesome TV shows for learning English, I hope you find them valuable. First up is Friends, (1994-2004) For those of you looking for basic English learning TV show Friends is a great option. It's very easy to watch and is full of funny jokes. Plus if you like 90's stuff, it's a true classic! Set in New York it follows a group of young friends as they go through the struggles of building a career and dating. Second is Sherlock, (2010-2017) For those of you who love detective novels and thrillers, this is a must-watch for you. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, it's a modern interpretation of Sherlock Holmes. Third is Seinfeld, (1989-1998) Seinfeld is another 90's comedy about a group of friends. It centers around the comedian Jerry Seinfeld who is very funny. If you like quirky comedies you'll love Seinfeld! Fourth is The Simpsons (1989-2023) The Simpsons I an incredibly successful animated TV show about the Simpson family, in fact, it's the longest-running scripted TV show ever. More aimed at kids with lots of hilarious slapstick humor. Because it's aimed at kids it makes a great series to learn English. Fifth is Mad Men (2007-2015) This is a much higher-level advanced series in my opinion. But If you can keep up with the English it makes for a really enjoyable watch. Set in New Yorks Madison avenue during the advertising heyday, it's a cigarette and whisky fueled adventure about suave advertising executives in immaculately tailored suits.
