I'm a Spanish teacher and a university student at University of Buenos Aires (UBA).
Currently writing my thesis to get my degree in Communication Sciences, with a specialization in Educational processes.
I love reading, listening to music, watching movies, cooking, swimming, dancing tango, and, of course, learning languages!
I'm really fond of education, languages and cultures, so being a Spanish teacher was the natural path for me!Me as a Teacher
Initially, I joined italki just to practice my English with people from all over the world.
But soon I realized that I loved helping my language partners learn and speak Spanish!
So I studied to become a teacher and got my certificate at International House, a highly recognized school worldwide.
I have experience teaching both tourists and exchange students, as well as refugees and immigrants to Argentina.
I also run a blog for Spanish learners! I write about grammar, vocabulary, learning techniques and typical expressions from Argentina!My lessons & teaching style
My lessons aim to communication. We will definitely learn vocabulary and grammar, but focused on learning how to communicate in real life situations.
We will use articles, songs, radio and TV programs, etc, that native Spanish speakers consume every day, so that you will be in contact with a real usage of the language.
Depending on your interests or needs, we can have formal structured lessons or more conversation-oriented classes exclusively.

Usually I write the feedback in Spanish, but I want to make sure that any potential student can understand it. I had reached a plateau in my Spanish learning and had lost my motivation. However, since I started taking classes with Kevin, that has all changed. He is always well prepared with resources and google documents. He is not only a great teacher but a great guy with a lot of knowledge of many things such as, current affairs, history, and the arts. Kevin is excellent. We were talking today about the various people that we meet in the Tango scene in the USA and Argentina as well as how some songs are earworms : ) He shares corrections with me at the end and every time I learn a little more.

Class with Kevin was excellent. He is a great at asking interesting questions to elicit more speaking from me, which is the goal. He is also very supportive and encouraging when I'm speaking by giving me physical and verbal cues to show I'm being understood which allows me to build confidence in speaking and trying more complex constructions. He also reviewed my errors at the end of the lesson, he was so engaged that I didn't even realize he was taking notes. I strongly recommend Kevin, and I will def be taking more classes with him.

Kevin is a great teacher. He dreams up great questions that keep me talking... and the hour flies by as we chat about our follies inside and outside the Tango world. He shares corrections with me at the end and each time I learn a little more.

Kevin is the best teacher. He is very encouraging always asks to keep me talking. He pauses to give me time to remember the right words to use as we laugh our way through the lesson. He types feedback as we go and shares it with me at the end.
