- Hi! That sounds like a cool project. I like Migrating our Gaze a lot, if the subject matter has to do with culture and change in location, especially. "Changing our view" sounds a little simple and straightforward to me for a compilation meant to challenge. As for a suggestion what do you think about "Where do you stand?" its simple, sort of a play on words, and hopefully will make them think a little. :)0 votedDecember 4, 20180
- Might is used to show possibility or a suggestion, and so is could. They can also both be used to express annoyance that something hasn't been done that was previously possible. "You could have told me we were out of toilet paper!", "You might have asked before taking my clothes!" In general the main difference is that might is also used to politely ask for permission. Might is also used less frequently by younger speakers, and has a gentler feeling to it. Just like "may" and "can", the present tense forms, the difference is subtle.0 votedDecember 4, 20180
- Take it easy is used to tell someone to relax and be a bit more carefree or to be gentle to oneself, so it makes sense here but it's more usual to say something like "Don't take it too hard" which focuses more on the fact that they could or do react negatively to things not going according to plan0 votedNovember 27, 20181
- In some cases, it's okay. For example "We use please to be more polite.", "I ask you please to give your support" (here it is used to indicate what the please refers to.) or after a comma "Help me, please, to do this task." Otherwise it's generally considered a bit old-timey and outdated for casual use. In general, "Please to do" or "Please to [verb]" sounds like broken English, while "Please do" is basically just referencing something previously stated that you would like to politely encourage some one to do. Ex. "May I have some cake?" "Please do!"0 votedNovember 27, 20180
- I started learning English again two months ago.
I learned German during the last 3 years. It was very interesting. In my opinion German is more suitable for people from Russia<strike>n</strike> and Ukraine.
Now I'm learning new words. To restore my old knowledge in English<strike>.</strike> , the most difficult part is to understand what should you do at first. From which topic you have to start.
Today I walked in the street and I saw a scrubby man who was holding <strike>a</strike> products in his hands. He <strike>went out</strike> <strike>from</strike> left the building and went away. I stared at him with amazement. The stars glinted on his coat and he was groaned (not sure what you mean here)
Shares of our company tumbled on Tuesday after bad news.
I have <strike>a</strike> big constraints in my time table for learning due to <strike>a big</strike> the volume of my job.But whatever you do, you have to combat <strike>with</strike> difficulties. Therefore you have to be a self-confident and tough-minded person0 votedNovember 11, 20180 - Could is used when it is an option you can take, or a suggestion; should is when it is something the speaker thinks would be better than other options, or that it is the correct course of action. Better acts just like should, but is much more informal. so, you can use "you better" with friends, but with a teacher or in writing it is better to use "you should".0 votedNovember 8, 20181
