10 movies to practise Spanish
If you like cinema, watching movies in their original version is a fun and effective way to boost your motivation, improve your listening skills, learn new vocabulary and improve your Spanish.

For beginner Spanish learners, I recommend watching movies with English subtitles. For intermediate and advanced Spanish learners, it’s better to watch them with Spanish subtitles. Eventually, you’ll be able to watch Spanish films without any subtitles at all, which is even more effective!

An useful method is to watch a Spanish-language film with English (or Spanish) subtitles and keep rewinding when you need to, until you really understand the meaning of each sentence .The best thing about this method is that you can pause the screen and have a dictionary at hand if you don’t understand a word that was said or that appeared in the Spanish subtitles.

Obviously, if you don’t know any Spanish at all, it’s best to learn basic vocabulary and grammar before watching Spanish films to avoid feeling frustrated. Most films are difficult to understand, the characters speak fast and have complicated accents, so bear this in mind!

It may be easier to start with Latin American films because characters speak a bit more slowly.

I have published on my blog a list with 10 movies to practise your Spanish that you might find interesting. You can find it here: http://albertobenitezespanol.blogspot.com/;

I hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think :)
