I went back to my hometown last weekend because my grandfather was hospitalized, and I wanted to visit him. I took the Shinkansen with my older brother, and we talked quietly during the trip, thinking about our grandfather. When we arrived at the hospital, my grandfather was there, but he was lying in bed and couldn’t open his eyes. He looked weak and fragile, and I was really shocked to see him like that. I felt a deep sadness, but at the same time, I was thankful that I could be by his side, even if he couldn’t talk or recognize us. Seeing him reminded me of the times when he used to smile and tell us stories when we were little. It was painful to realize how much things had changed, but I was still glad that I could see him. I truly hope he can recover soon, and I want to visit him again as soon as possible.

Hi everyone, it’s been a while! October is almost over, and it’s getting really cold these days. I can really feel that winter is coming. It’s hard to believe it was so hot in the summer. Anyway I love winter, so I’m very excited. But I’m not good with the cold, so I try to keep myself warm every day. In winter, there is the big event called Christmas! The city is full of beautiful lights, and my favorite Christmas songs are playing everywhere. Just walking outside makes me happy. After Christmas, there is New Year! I love watching special TV programs, eating osechi and ozoni with my family. There are so many things I enjoy at that times. And it’s also my birthday! Every year goes by so fast, but this year I feel so much more. I want to do my best for the last two months of 2025. By doing so, I can finish the year without regrets.

This week was full of exciting moments. On Monday, I learned a new dance from someone in a different Yosakoi team. It was not my usual team, so everything felt fresh and new. The way they danced was very powerful and inspiring. I think I was able to learn some good moves from them. On Wednesday, I went to eat shabu-shabu with my junior. It was an all-you-can-eat restaurant, so we ate a lot! I was really full and happy. After dinner, my junior surprised me with many snacks. I didn’t expect that, so I was very touched and thankful. On Saturday, I went to the National Stadium to watch a rugby match. Japan played hard, but unfortunately, they lost. Still, the game was very exciting and fun to watch. The energy in the stadium was amazing, and I enjoyed cheering with the crowd. On Sunday, I cleaned my room. While cleaning, I found many old things that brought back memories. I looked at old photos and letters, and I felt a little nostalgic. It reminded me of how much I have grown. This week was busy, but I’m glad I had so many meaningful experiences.
