Language is about connection, and connection requires authenticity. This Pride Month, I want to celebrate my own journey as a non-binary individual. Coming out came with its challenges—including facing silent rejection in my teaching career and dealing with indirect pressure over gendered spaces. But those moments taught me the true power of community, solidarity, and acceptance. To all my current and future students: my classroom is a safe, inclusive space for everyone.
