２０２４年のノーベル平和賞は日本被団協が受賞しました。とても嬉しく思います。

  かれこれ３０年近く前。中学生の時に先生たちが企画をしてくれて、私達の代だけ修学旅行で広島に行きました。当時はたくさんの語り部さんがいたので、１対１でお話を聞くチャンスもあり、貴重な体験をさせていただきました。生々しい体験を真剣に話してくださったのが印象的でした。

さて、このサムネイルの写真は我が家で育てている被爆アオギリ２世です。２０１３年に公開された『アオギリにたくして』という映画を思い出して写真を撮りました。

アオギリの木は、原爆投下場所からわずか１.３キロメートルにあり、被爆しながらも懸命に育ちました。この映画の主人公の女性は、原爆で左足を失いながらも、アオギリの生命力に励まされて懸命に生き、長い間平和活動家をされました。そして、このアオギリの木は１９７３年に広島平和記念公園に植えられました。

  映画館の売店コーナーに行くと、この被爆したアオギリの種が売られていたので、家で育てることにしたのです。それから、我が家の平和のシンボルとして大切に育てています！
