Lasso/Fyafulla (ल्हास्सो/फ्याफुल्ला)🙏🙏 We, Tamang people from Nepal, follow the Tibetan lunar calendar and celebrated SONAM LHOSAR yesterday, marking the new year. Each year is represented by an animal, and this year is the year of the rabbit. In Nepal, we have a public holiday for this occasion. 🎉🐇 In addition to enjoying delicious cuisine and spending time with our loved ones, we visit the GUMBA (monastery) where we chant 'Om Mani Padme Hum' while counting 108 beads (mala), and a pure mala is called Budhachitta mala, which is produced from a tree. 🌳 We proudly wear our traditional dress and dance to the rhythm of Tamang Selo, our traditional song.
