Learning New Words — tip 4 of 5. #NewWordsWeek Record yourself. Yes, nobody likes their own voice! Do it anyway. Pick a short paragraph, two or three sentences. Record it on your phone. Listen back once and check three things: Do your word endings survive? Do you rush certain sounds? Is there a word you quietly avoid? Listening back helps you notice what’s working and what needs attention.
Listening back, you check a sentence "We discussed the plan." The -ed in "discussed" should sound like:
/ɪd/ — an extra syllable
/d/
/t/
