WHERE HAVE YOU COME FROM?
(I put that way in English, I know it may not sound perfect English but trying to show the difference to "WHERE ARE YOU COMING FROM?" according to our culture)
This ...ME... (in U-ME-TOKA) is used to show the time "-present perfect" let's say the time that ends now.
Nimetoka nyumbani.
I'm from home.
Nimetoka darasani.
I'm from class.
Nilikwenda sokoni.
I went to market.
And so on.
Tell me in comment, "where are you from?" Give out the place's name and I will help you in Swahili:)
So next time we will look on:
"UNAKWENDA WAPI?"
-(WHERE ARE YOU GOING?)
Don't miss
