🇷🇺 **«ПО ХОДУ» — and no, it’s not about walking anywhere. 😅**
This is one of those expressions you’ll hear **all the time in modern spoken Russian**, but rarely learn from a textbook.
**По ходу** ≈ **looks like / seems like / apparently**
We use it when we make a guess or conclusion based on what we see or know:
⏰ **По ходу, мы опоздали.**
→ Looks like we’re late.
📱 **По ходу, он не придёт.**
→ Apparently, he’s not coming.
🌧️ **По ходу, будет дождь.**
→ Looks like it’s going to rain.
🗺️ **По ходу, мы заблудились.**
→ Seems like we’re lost.
💡 The important part: **«по ходу» is informal.** It sounds natural in everyday conversations, messages, and casual speech.
So instead of always saying:
**Мне кажется…**
**Наверное…**
try:
🔥 **По ходу…**
It instantly makes your Russian sound more conversational.
