Magdalena es simpática, interesante y fácil de tratar. Revisamos un artículo en español como punto de partida para nuestras conversaciones, pero siempre encontramos temas divertidos de los que hablar.

We talked about where I live and the different rooms and furniture in the house. We used some slides which Magdalena sent as homework to prompt and check understanding as we went – still hard to find the right words under pressure – but non the less very enjoyable to begin to speak in sentences about simple concepts. Magdalena used another slide to ask questions and check comprehension – correcting or helping me to expand on the answers I managed. Still an issue to recall words and make sentences quickly, under pressure - but I really enjoyed this session. Thanks Magdalena – Look forward to more work on quicker recall - as well as a better confidence and competence in forming better sentences and articulating ideas when speaking Spanish.

Once again we picked up where we left last time – we began by talking about time and how to say what the time is, then we moved onto days of the week – “what is today” and the “day before” – the day after – this challenged my recall in conversation [frustrating but fun] – Magdalena then used the structured questions to precipitate a conversation around every day sentences – I loved this – practical – frustrating but rewarding too - I really enjoyed this session and was pleased with some of the responses I managed to produce – still mistakes but it reminds me that progress – whilst slow is still there.

We picked up where we left last time – we worked through some verbs and different tense – whilst I found it hard today even though I had done some pre work over the last week on these – Magdalena again used quiz options, which I find useful, to get me to answer questions and tell her the answers – although it did put me under pressure to recall words quickly, most of these were words I felt I already knew, but under pressure it showed I need more work - but I really enjoyed this session. Thanks Magdalena – Look forward to more work on quicker recall for critical verbs to help me form better sentences to include in my conversations - as well as a better confidence and competence in recalling and articulating ideas when speaking Spanish.
