About Me

Hello! My name is Alie and I would love to help you learn Dutch. I am a native Dutch speaker born and raised in the north of The Netherlands. I like to teach Dutch using general conversations about any topic you would like to talk about. I speak 5 languages so I know how hard it can be learning a new language. I am a big fan of coffee so hopefully see you soon so we can have a virtual coffee together!

Me as a Teacher

I am an experienced teacher as I have been teaching languages for several years. My teaching style is informal conversations about any topic, trying always to include local expressions and slang words, which you usually cannot find in conventional lessons. I have a great sense of humor so we will have lots of fun during our conversations, while improving your language skills at the same time.

I really like how Alie offers me lots of corrections, ways to improve how I phrase what I'm saying in Dutch. I also really like how she speaks naturally, which allows me to get a feel for the most natural ways of speaking in the language. Today we discussed leaves, trees, and some other botany-related concepts. Very fun and informative! Thank you, and see you in the next lesson!
