Excellent first lesson! Juan is a very patient, knowledgeable, interested and friendly teacher! He speaks slowly and clearly and he writes all new words and phrases into the chatbox! I would recommend Juan to anyone who wants to improve their Spanish language skills! Muchas gracias, Juan!

Juan was great to talk to. I felt very comfortable speaking with him despite the fact that my Spanish is not very good. I highly recommend taking lessons from this nice man.

Juan is a fantastic Spanish teacher and conversationalist. I am so glad we found each other on italki. He is supremely knowledgeable about many different topics including but not limited to the history of Mexico. Juan has a marvelous personality and is very easy to connect with, which is an especially important characteristic when a student is a beginner or intermediate. He helps me to have the confidence to take risks because he always helps me bridge the gap between what I intend to say versus what my actual ability permits. Whenever I struggle he either explains using other Spanish words until I understand and when I need extra assistance, he will type out the Spanish phrases in the chat area so that I can better comprehend. Juan embodies the best characteristics one could hope to find.

I had a great conversation with Juan. I'm probably a B1/B2 speaker, so I can understand most everyday vocabulary but need exposure to and practice with less common words. Juan and I talked about a variety of topics and he sprinkled in new vocab along the way. I appreciate that he corrected me promptly and directly. I definitely recommend.
