Ready to actually speak Norwegian — not just study it? Hei, I'm Emilie! I'm from Oslo and Norwegian is my first language. I also taught myself Korean from scratch as an adult, so I know what this looks like from your side: the months of study, and then the moment someone finally speaks to you and everything you learned disappears. That gap, between knowing a language and being able to use it, is what my lessons are for. Everything I teach is built around using the language, not just learning about it. You talk, you read, you get corrected, and slowly it stops being a subject and starts being something you do. For beginners, that means structured lessons. I bring the words, the themes and the grammar, because you can't improvise with vocabulary you don't have yet. From intermediate and up, it's conversation or reading a text aloud together. No homework unless you want it. If you'd like something to work on between lessons, say so and I'll set you something. I'll tell you the truth about what I hear. Not harshly, but I won't pretend something was right when it wasn't, because you can't fix what nobody points out. Beyond that there's no performing and no pressure to impress me.
