Camila Murillo

Camila is an excellent teacher who uses the TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) method, which makes learning both effective and enjoyable. In each lesson, I read a short story that’s perfectly suited to my level (comprehensible input). Camila then asks a variety of questions to ensure I fully understand the text and to help me practice forming sentences with plenty of support. Rather than focusing on grammar rules or vocabulary lists, we immerse ourselves in stories and meaningful conversation. I find this method incredibly effective—especially for beginners who may feel a bit nervous about speaking. Camila creates a relaxed, encouraging environment that makes it easy to build confidence and fluency. Highly recommended!

Camila is an absolute gem! I am extremely impressed by her and I couldn't recommend her more. You want someone kind and caring? Check. You want someone attentive and prepared? Check. Camila is a great teacher! She is very knowledgable of the Spanish language, is very patient, and very energetic. I leave every class with better knowledge of the Spanish language than I did coming in. In our classes, we use short documents which helps improve my vocabulary and reinforces the language. She takes notes during the lesson of key points and vocabulary and shares them with you afterwards for your personal study.
