Certified TEFL teacher with over ten years' experience I've taught English for over ten years. It's my first language and the subject of my degree. I haven't forgotten what it's like to be a beginner, though. When I moved to France at 13, I didn't speak a word of French. At first, every conversation took so much concentration that I'd come home exhausted. Then it started to click. Ce moment-là, je le connais bien. By the time I left la Nouvelle-Aquitaine thirteen years later, I was living my whole life in French. That's why I don't correct every small mistake. Worrying about getting it wrong is what stops people speaking. Les erreurs font partie de l'apprentissage. Communication comes first, accuracy follows. I'm a certified TEFL and TYLEC teacher, and I currently teach ESOL alongside my online lessons. I teach both languages to all ages, from young children to working adults. My French is near-native, so we can stay in one language or switch between the two, whichever helps you most. On passe d'une langue à l'autre quand ça aide. Specialities: IELTS, TOEIC, Cambridge A1 to C1, Business English, GCSE and A-Level, DELF, DALF, professional French. Levels A1 to C1. 3,800+ lessons taught on italki, plus many more in classrooms in France and the UK. A quick note on scheduling: lessons can be rescheduled with more than 24 hours' notice. Just message me and we'll find a time that works. Once we're inside the 24-hour window, italki's system doesn't allow lessons to be changed or cancelled, and the lesson is charged in full.
