👩‍🏫Professional Spanish teacher with years of teaching experience. Hi everyone! thank you for passing by! I am Ana, a native Spanish speaker. I was born in Peru which is a country in western South America and grew up in Trujillo a city located in the north of Peru well-known for its many touristic places, warm weather and delicious cuisine. I studied Education in foreign languages and have taught Spanish as a second language. I studied English and French as well. Thus, I decided to move to the United States in order to improve my English language skills and discover a little bit more about the language that most of my foreign students use when we communicate. I am excited about excellence in teaching either Spanish and English where the students’ diverse socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds are understood and respected. I hold a Master's degree in didactics of Spanish as a foreign language. I have taught English to native Spanish speakers and Spanish for seven years to non-native Spanish speakers from France, South Korea, and the United States, among others. This have made me very aware of the importance of a high-quality, communicative, supportive and motivational environment as the foundation of students’ success in Spanish learning. My lessons are a mix of doing things in a context (depending on your hobbies), task-based activities, conversation and traditional exercises.
