Timothy Hofte

Have been taking lessons with Tim for almost a year, and my dutch level has increased significantly! He has a very casual way of teaching that makes practising fun.

I have learned a lot of languages on Italki before, but Tim has to be by far my favorite teacher. I look forward to my lesson every time. Even on days when I am not in the mood, learning with Tim puts me in a good mood; he's a great teacher!! He is also experienced in learning languages so he is good at finding examples and rephrasing things to make sure you understand. He also revisits things from the past to check your progression and help you remember what you have learned! Thanks for everything!

Best Dutch teacher I’ve had!

Tim's lessons are always interesting, engaging and fun. There's a wide range of topics you can discuss with him and he's always well-prepared. Time flies by during each lesson! Since I started learning Dutch with Tim last year, my language skills have improved significantly. I now feel comfortable having everyday conversations on a variety of topics. The lessons have really boosted my confidence. Totally recommend!

Timothy is a great teacher, very knowledgeable, friendly, and always makes you feel at ease. He’s super motivated and his lessons are never boring! I’ve just finished level A1 with him, and it went really well. He explains everything clearly and keeps the atmosphere relaxed and positive, which makes learning Dutch much easier and more enjoyable. I totally recommend him to anyone who wants to learn Dutch in a fun and supportive way!
