Teaching Norwegian is more than a profession for me; it's a reflection of who I am. Beyond my hobbies in music, photography, and sports, and the joy I find in spending time with my cat, Nikos, it's the intricacy and allure of the Norwegian language that truly resonates with me. I have dedicated years to the teaching of Norwegian, motivated by the conviction that sharing its subtleties, rich history, and engaging charm transcends the conventional boundaries of work—it's my passion. Objectively summarizing oneself can be a daunting task, so I often leave it to my students to sketch their own impressions. Looking back at my own schooling, the memory of stern, results-focused teachers still looms large—those whose approach we might recall less than fondly. In contrast, it was the educators who wove humor, patience, and empathy into their teaching who truly made a lasting impact. I warmly regard these individuals with the term "HYGGELIG." While dictionaries may render this Norwegian word as "pleasant" or "cozy," it embodies a deeper, almost ineffable sense of warmth and contentment, a concept that goes beyond the constraints of language.My lessons & teaching style

Second lesson and starting to move away from use of English in lesson. I'm studying chapters of 'Nils' each week then reading and answering questions in Norwegian. My pronunciation is being corrected and my understanding of new words, phrases and grammar is improving naturally, through story telling and immersion. I'm really enjoying my time with Luca. He's very knowledgeable in the intricacies of languages and his impeccable knowledge of both English and Norwegian make him a valuable colleague.
