I am a musician, a photographer, an athlete, a cat owner - but first of all, I am a Norwegian teacher. Teaching Norwegian has been my job for a lot of years, and I have spoken this language for all my life. Sometimes, it is difficult to describe yourself and stay objective. Thus, I let my students do that. But what I can say for sure it that during my school-age I always disliked the boogie-man teachers that I am sure we all had – the ones who insisted on results and being strict and frightening. Such teachers we all tend to forget! But I have always appreciated the teachers with a good sense of humor, tons of patience and understanding. No matter if I actually managed to learn something from them, I like to remember of such people and say that they were "HYGGELIG". Dictionaries translate this Norwegian word as pleasant, enjoyable, cozy etc. but it is way, way more :)My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style varies from very informal – unstructured and unprepared conversation about anything, to structured – where we have a clear goal e.g. gaining vocabulary, learning certain grammar topics, test preparation. All depending on the student's preferences!
However, there is one thing that I consider to be crucial in all my teaching – good mood, humor and relaxed atmosphere!My teaching material
