I’m a university professor (M.A. in Language Acquisition) with experience at Free University Berlin, Gothenburg University and University of Barcelona. I design personalized strategies for adult learners to meet your goals and make lessons enjoyable. Materials are online. A trial class assesses your level so we can build the best course together. I offer general and specialized lessons (pronunciation, vocabulary, conversation, proofreading).
Cancellation policy: please give 24h notice or the lesson will be charged. If you’re over 10 min late for a 60-min lesson (5 min for 30/45-min or trial) without notice, the lesson is considered complete.
I strongly believe that for a successful learning, the student has to enjoy the classes: this is why my goal is to adapt the teaching depending on your needs, interests and previous knowledge and, according to my students, I'm pretty good at it! For me, learning a new language is like undertaking an exciting journey into the unknown, discovering new cultures, creating bridges between people and enriching our world view, therefore, I sincerely expect that you'll enjoy your journey!

I have had six Swedish lessons with Danilo and by far made the most progress with him as compared to any other tutor (and I’ve had quite a few). Having lived in Sweden for 4.5 years and trying to learn Swedish many times, this is the first tutor who makes me feel comfortable speaking in my broken Swedish. Danilo always has a lesson plan which is tailored to my strengths and weaknesses, and he knows how to push me to improve. I would highly recommend Danilo if you’re looking for a language teacher.. he is very skilled and professional.

Had my first ever italki lesson with Danilo yesterday and it went really well. I was nervous going in but within the first few minutes I was completely at ease. He got straight into it — asking me questions in Swedish, figuring out what I know, and gently correcting me where needed. Learned a lot in just 30 minutes. Great teacher, would definitely recommend. Looking forward to more lessons!
