Certified English Teacher with over 4 years experience with adults and children 8 years and above! I'm TEFL certified and A Levels in English Language and Literature. Over the years, I have assisted my non-native friends with English language issues and the positive feedback made me realize that I had a calling. I love travelling and I spend a lot of time in Spain and working on improving my Spanish. My students range from 8yrs old to adults in their 50s. I also have a BA Honours Degree in Acting. I like tackling pronunciation issues using techniques learnt during my BA, to aid my students with the typical difficulties they have in this area. I teach in both Standard American and Standard British RP accents. I have a holistic approach to language learning. Not only do I focus on skills teaching , I work on student confidence. I believe that no matter how much grammar and vocabulary you know, if you don't have the confidence to speak when you need to, then it's like you know nothing at all. I will focus on techniques to build your confidence, so you can achieve your English language goals! I have experience in teacher children as young as 8 years old and I utilize different teaching techniques. I use flashcards, phonics, stuffed animals, games, stories and other tools in my teaching. For my Business English course, I use materials from a fully accredited and well known British organisation. I'm a teacher that seeks to keep my students' level on anxiety as low as possible.
