My name is Consuelo, I was born in Madrid (Spain) and
I am a teacher of Spanish Language and Literatur. Since 2010, I work as Spanish teacher for foreigners.
I live in a small village, not far from Madrid but also close to the nature and the mountains, which I love.
Among my hobbies are walking, reading, cooking and spending time with my lovely dogs and catsMe as a Teacher
I am Graduated in Teaching by Autonomous University of Madrid, where I specialized in Spanish Language and Literature.
I have worked lot of years as Spanish Language and Literature teacher. As already mentioned, since 2010 I have been teaching Spanish to foreigners.
I combine my work as a teacher with my work as style corrector for publishing houses.
Both activities allow me to deepen in the Spanish language, so rich and alive, as well as in its grammar, literature and history. My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are adapted to the needs of each student.
I consider that the directed conversation and the use of adapted exercises to the student level are very important to learn a language correctly. Proper grammar is also essential for understanding Spanish as a second language and during our lessons we will have specific activities designed for you.
From the first day we will speak only Spanish.
Speaking is the final goal of everyone learning a language so, during our lessons, you will speak a lot. Of course you will make mistakes, but we will use them to help you to improve, don’t be afraid! Making mistakes is the only way to become fluent in a language.My teaching material

Consuelo is very kind and patient! She is great at gauging your understanding, working with you and adjusting to your progress. She speaks at a really great pace so if you're just starting out and working on your listening comprehension, she's super helpful. Consuelo only speaksand understands Spanish, which is great because it forces your mind to really think in Spanish. I find with tutors that speak both English and Spanish, I usually fall back on my English to communicate an idea that I can't in Spanish. So it's a nice change of pace and I feel like I'm improving. Would totally recommend
