Renzo Guevara

I have used Renzo over 200 times on iTalki ... he has helped me greatly over the past 2 years and is a lot of fun. Highly recommended. (note: i have taken over 400 iTalki classes so I have a lot of other teachers with whom I can compare him)

I have taken lessons from several teachers on iTalki, and Renzo is my favorite. A typical lesson starts by me talking about what I did recently or plan to do later, while Renzo offers occasional corrections and prompts. Then we take several minutes to have a more formal grammar lesson followed by practicing what was just learned by narrating youtube videos using Spanish. The lessons are fun and customized to cater to my interests in creepy movies.

Renzo is an absolutely fantastic teacher. He is patient, provides many great examples to give context to new words and phrases, and above all makes each and every lesson really fun. We always end up laughing about something silly and it creates a wonderful environment to learn. Can't wait for the next lesson!

Renzo is a professor who is creative, energetic and encouraging. For my lesson, he uses pictures, book materials, online resources, movie trailers to provide the topics and create course contents, and caters to my interests and what happened to me so I feel comfortable speaking. Most importantly, he is a professor in Spanish both offline and online, so he knows very well how to explain grammars and word usages, so I understand very quickly how the language works. He documents important grammar points, vocabulary and expressions that you can refer to after class. He gives homework assignments of different kinds so I can test my understanding and practice using Spanish even after class. Strongly recommended!

I have had two lessons with Renzo and both have been fantastic. He is very organised, professional and kind. The lessons are well structured and interesting.
