Hello, My name is Karen and I'm an energetic individual who just loves teaching and climbing mountains. As well as enjoying the great outdoors I practise yoga and meditation. My most challenging experience was earlier this year when I succeeded in my dream of climbing to Everest Base Camp.Me as a Teacher
I am a mature and dedicated English Language Teacher with over five years post-certificate experience. I can offer you my expertise and enthusiasm in the field of teaching English.
Over the years my main duties have been:
To plan, prepare and deliver high quality English language teaching, that has met the needs of different age groups and customer groups, whilst considering individual learning styles.
I have excellent knowledge of the delivery of Cambridge examination preparation courses pertaining to Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET, PET & FCE. In addition, I have had three years’ experience in the delivery of IELTS & TOEFL courses.My lessons & teaching style
I am an individual who is continually engaging in professional development and assessing my performance within the classroom in relation to new teaching methods and learning. My teaching style is very student led, with hands on activities and student interaction being the basis of most of my lessons.
I teach using a professional learning platform with an initial placement test to determine your level of English. This gives you that personal touch that I feel is so important when studying a second language. It also enables me to put together a learning plan based on your needs.My teaching material
