Learn Turkish with the story method. Welcome to my profile. I am 40 years old and graduated from the Department of Sociology at Anadolu University. My approach was shaped by my own struggles while learning German. I began with traditional grammar-based methods when I was studying at university. I spent three years studying German. However, when it came time to use it at work, I realised that I still could not speak or understand the language fluently. It was frustrating to admit that those three years had not given me real communication skills. Giving up was not an option because German was a part of my job, and I had to learn it. I made a six-month plan. Every day, I watched an episode of a cartoon series, watched a movie, listened to German songs, read books, and kept a diary in German. After six months, I was able to communicate in German. Later, I also needed to learn English for my work, and I was not willing to spend another three years making slow progress. I was looking for a method that matched what I had learned from my experience with German. Then I found a course that taught English through stories. The course lasted seven months, and the results were remarkable. The progress I made during those seven months was far greater than the progress I had made during three and a half years of studying German. BEFORE BOOKING — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY For the best learning experience, lessons must be attended on a computer or tablet. Mobile phones are not suitable for this course.

I've had a few lessons with Nevfel, and I would definitely recommend him for beginner learners! His style of teaching may seem a little bit simplistic, but it's actually been incredibly helpful. Each lesson we go through a story that he's made up, and in the process we learn new words, learn new sentence structures, and then practice these new things through question and answer activities. I've been learning Turkish for a little while, so not everything we cover is brand new, but these lessons have been incredibly helpful for me when it comes to practicing and solidifying what I'm learning. Anyways, I would highly recommend other beginner learners try a lesson or two!
