Tutor italiano con tre anni di esperienza I really like discovering different cultures. Three years ago, I started helping people from all over the world (mostly Americans) to learn Italian. I believe that curiosity is at the heart of language learning and it should never be seen as a stressful process. Because of this, I would like to teach you Italian through talking about whatever you enjoy, using an appropriate vocabulary according to your level. Also I'm used to the typical mistakes that students from other countries make, so I try to correct them immediately :)

Experienced teacher My priority is to make my students comfortable and my lessons enjoyable. Therefore, I would use an informal and friendly register if you are a beginner and do at least two or three activities during the lesson, to keep your attention, interest, and productivity high.

Minha atuação oficial como professor inicia em fevereiro de 2024, após eu receber finalmente o meu diploma de uma das melhores universidades da américa latina, a UFRJ. Contudo, ensinar é algo que eu faço desde muito antes. Eu sou um cara que ama passar aquilo que sabe adiante. Eu ensinava às pessoas a desenhar quando era criança, a tocar violão e tudo mais que aprendia. Se eu aprendia algo bem legal, bem interessante, eu dizia: Nossa, olha o que eu aprendi, e se a pessoa se interessasse, eu logo lhe mostrava como fazer! E desde sempre isso me acompanha. Portanto, acredito que sempre tive gosto por ensinar.

I mezzi a disposizione per l'approccio all'apprendimento di una nuova lingua o di una lingua poco conosciuta, sono molti. Oltre all'utilizzo dei classici manuali, vorrei spaziare partendo, ad esempio, in ambito orale, con la spiegazione di alcuni vocaboli ed espressioni di base, per poi continuare con letture di articoli, parti di libri, testi di canzoni e curiosità in ambito culturale. Il tutto verrà concordato con lo studente, sempre tenendo conto di quelle che sono le sue esigenze e competenze linguistiche. Sono molto paziente e ci tengo a creare un ambiente di scambio che metta lo studente a proprio agio.

My studies also led me to learn about the adults' world and their ways of internalizing new information when it comes to foreign languages.During my University study case, I had the chance to design an English course for absolute-beginner seniors, which was revealed to be the litmus test of the approach effectiveness I'd been working on up to then. I prefer to be seen as a facilitator of learning rather than a teacher,for my aim is to support others in their journey of language exploration by providing tools and offering expertise to raise consciousness of the new language system.

I try to be as flexible as possible and adapt to my students' needs. I really believe that motivation is key to learning a language (or anything at all probably). That is why I try to focus on what really interests my students and 'build' on that, whatever it may be – a topic, an objective in the language, a desire to visit a place. That way learning will not feel as something one 'has to' do with all its difficulties but as something one can hopefully enjoy while in the process, while learning things that are relevant to them. So yes, as a joke I that I believe that as in any kind of relationship listening to others and asking them what they wish for is a very good skill in teaching too!
